Wedding Tales.
I have shot weddings large and small, both here in the UK and around the world. I have developed a style that is cinematic, but also discreet - most of the time you won't even know you're being filmed.
Every film begins with a conversation. I’m always looking to capture the essence of your relationship. More often than not, that lies in the details - those little moments it would be so easy to miss in the whirlwind of the day. I’ll be with you from as early into morning preparations as you can handle, until at least an hour after your first dance. That leaves you free to lose yourselves in the day, safe in the knowledge that you can relive the details in the months - and years - to come.
It also means your film is as unique as your wedding.
In fact, I usually produce two films: a longer edit of the whole day (the one your grandchildren will cherish) and a shorter highlights film (perfect for sharing with everyone you know). Your films are delivered in hard copy, but also hosted online: yours to relive, whenever – and wherever – you choose.
About ten years ago I began recording interviews with couples as a means of making my films an even more intimate reflection of their relationship. Usually conducted in the weeks leading up to the wedding, these interviews have now become an integral part of my work.
It's not as daunting as it sounds. We simply sit down and talk. About how you met. How you proposed. Your terrible first date. Those little things that make your relationship unique. I then use this audio, laid over music, as a backdrop to moments in the film.
But, of course, all of this can be tailored to your precise needs.
